Neco Williams Joins Nottingham Forest
Premier League Club Acquires Welsh Defender
Nottingham Forest have signed Wales defender Neco Williams from Liverpool in a £17 million deal.
Williams, 23, has made 33 appearances for Liverpool since joining the club in 2019. He has also earned 23 caps for Wales, including appearances at the 2020 European Championship and the 2022 World Cup.
Williams is a versatile defender who can play at both right-back and left-back. He is expected to provide competition for Djed Spence at Nottingham Forest.
The transfer fee for Williams is a club record for Nottingham Forest. It is also the highest fee ever paid for a Welsh player.
